Mary McCormack was an American actress, best known for her role as the main character in TV programs like "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Born to a clinical therapist and an ice cream store manager, McCormack hails from a family with no direct links to the entertainment field. When her parents separated in 1990, she was enrolled at Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut where she graduated with an BA in Comparative Arts. Her career started at the age of 12 when she performed in a stage version of a Christmas opera titled "Amahl and the Night Visitor'. She continued performing at the theater before landing a role in films both small as well as the big screen. The versatility of McCormack is well-known today. McCormack has three daughters along with her husband, producer/director Michael Morris.
